Global Talent Gothenburg // West Sweden is a collaborative project that aims to attract and welcome skilled internationals, and get them to stay and thrive in the region long-term. The project is run within the framework of a regional platform comprising stakeholders from the business community, academia as well as city and region. The Project coordinator is the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce but employees from Business Region Göteborg also make up the project management team.

Global Talent Gothenburg/West Sweden is now looking for a communications coordinator to strengthen our work with developing strategies and presence in digital channels, producing communications material and developing and implementing a communications plan.

Main areas and tasks included in the role as communications coordinator

Social media and digital platforms

  • Developing a strategy for social media and other digital channels.
  • Planning and implementing our communication in social media, initially with focus on LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook.
  • Contributing to the development of existing and future digital platforms.

Communications plan

  • Develop a communications plan for 2017.
  • Be responsible for implementing the communications plan.
  • Follow media coverage of relevant areas in local, national and global media.

Plan and coordinate the development of new communications material

  • Interviews, texts, photos, videos, etc. in order to showcase international talents.
  • Write articles/posts from both own interviews and external sources.
Qualifications

You should have a degree within media and communication, preferably with a focus on digital channels. We also value work experience, especially within social media and digital platforms. Knowledge within Drupal is good but not necessary.

We are looking for a person who is highly proficient in written and spoken English. You should also have enough skills to understand written and spoken Swedish, as a necessary part of the job is to follow media coverage.

It is positive if you have previous experience of working with international talents and/or have been working abroad or are doing so now. Personal qualities such as good communication skills, being independent and a do-er along with being a good team player are necessary.

About the position
